Selection Criteria...

	It is a goal for this student program representing the United States overseas to reflect the broad diversity of America. Ideally, the group will consist of a variety of economic, racial, ethnic and gender backgrounds while being a highly qualified group of young ambassadors to a challenging and unique environment. We consider foreign students based at American colleges and universities. The group,will consist of young people in the ages of 18-24. Delegations usually consist of about 14-18 students. A committee will consider the following: Level of background and understanding of this country or region. Language proficiency with a genuine interest in learning the culture and political side of the country will be important factors as the committee considers your application. Essay, letters of recommendation (3) and application will be requested by us with a deadline for all materials determined well in advance. Telephone and/or personal interviews as requested by our committee.
