Selection Criteria...
It is a goal for this student program representing the United States in Tunisia to reflect the broad diversity of America. Ideally, the group will consist of a variety of economic, racial, ethnic and gender backgrounds while being a highly qualified group of young ambassadors going to a challenging and unique environment. We are taking students in the ages of 17-24 and we expect our delegation to consist of no more than 15 students. A committee will consider the following:
- Level of background and understanding of this country/region. Language proficiency in either Arabic and/or French along with a genuine interest in learning the culture and political side of Tunisia will be important as the committee considers your application.
- Essay, letters of recommendation(3), letter from parent/guardian and application received by us on or before December 1, 2011(SEE “Current Events” for details/forms)
- Telephone and/or personal interviews as requested by our committee.
